Listening Power Grades 4-8+ is an innovative app dedicated to enhancing the skills of students in grades 4 through 8 and beyond. Developed by licensed speech-language pathologist Patti Hamaguchi, this application emphasizes both language processing, including grammar, vocabulary, narrative comprehension, and question understanding, as well as auditory processing tasks such as auditory memory and closure.

The app features a versatile functionality that allows users to toggle "text on" for reading comprehension practice while keeping narration off, effectively transforming it into a reading-focused tool.

Listening Power encompasses five distinct activities with over 1200 questions grouped into the following categories:

 <li>Listening for Grammar: Identifying the correct sentence structures.</li>
 <li>Listening for Meaning: Exploring vocabulary and comprehension.</li>
 <li>Listening for Fast Sentences: Understanding time-compressed speech.</li>
 <li>Listening for Missing Sounds: Engaging with auditory closure tasks.</li>
 <li>Listening for Stories: Answering diverse questions about narrative content, including optional visual distractions or background noise.</li>
</ul>

The app's auto-advance/drop feature automatically adjusts the difficulty level, allowing for customization within the Settings menu where users can select from 2, 3, or 4 answer choices and tailor the difficulty to Easy, Intermediate, or Advanced levels.
